Character Design - Maxxie

This is my main character for my Interactive comic, Maxxie! This character was based on the 1980's and various cartoons I loved as a kid from this era. My main Influences was Jem and the Holograms and Barbie and the Rockers.

I wanted to base Maxxie on my Experience in life. When I was younger, I wanted to be a singer and an actor and when I was told I was 18, I couldn't act to save my life, I ended up in a really deep depression. I wanted to explore how I felt and maybe portray what would have happened if I kept at it? I wanted Maxxie to be a struggling actor, trying to get her way in life and no one really hiring her and her struggles with that.

I wanted the main factor of maxxie to be her Hair! I wanted it to look fake and over the top! I also wanted her to be very 1980's but morden at the same time!
